Mid-Term review of the “Gestion intégrée Des Zones Cotières de l’Océan Indien” project

The project’s objective was “to consolidate, build and disseminate procedures validated by field experience in the areas of ICZM and the protection of marine and coastal biodiversity, based on active partnerships with local and regional actors.” The logic of the project is to (1) promote and support the development and the replication in the region of good local initiatives, (2) Pooling the skills, experiences, knowledge and tools developed in the region (3) Develop links, reinforce actors network and strengthen cooperation among regional partners (4) Support an integrated management approach linking land and sea. Francis Staub was part of the evaluation team.
